Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is having a fine start to life at Deportivo La Coruna with back-to-back scoring run in La Liga.
The former Arsenal striker has scored four goals and provided two assists in his first four La Liga outings for Deportivo.
Aubameyang, on Saturday, scored the winning goal as the Blue and Whites came back from behind twice to beat Villarreal 3-2.
The 37-year-old who arrived from Olympique Marseille this summer, has contributed to Deportivo La Coruna’s form this season as they are one of the three unbeaten sides in the Spanish top-flight.
Alaves and Barcelona are the other two teams yet to lose a La Liga match this season after matchday four.
AUBAMEYANG’S STATS SO FAR AT DEPORTIVO
The former Gabon captain has been the shining light in Deportivo La Coruna’s attack with his contributions at crucial moments.
The Blue and Whites are making a clear statement of intent following their promotion from the Segunda Division last season.
In their league opener against Elche, Aubameyang scored the opening goal in the encounter that ended in a 1-1 draw.
The former Barcelona striker also broke the deadlock in the second game of the season as Deportivo held Malaga to a 1-1 draw.
In their most recent home game against Valencia, Aubameyang was the only Deportivo player to find the back of the net as Valencia scored two own goals in the 3-1 win.
On Saturday, the 37-year-old contributed to every goal the Blue and Whites scored by providing a brace of assists and netting the match-winning goal in the 3-2 victory over Villarreal.
With his tally of four goals, Aubameyang is the second-highest scoring player in La Liga this season after Barcelona’s Raphinha (six goals) and Rayo Vallecano’s Sergio Camello (five goals).

The 2015 African Footballer of the Year is renowned for his goal scoring instincts across Europe after spells at Saint-Etienne, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea and Olympique Marseille.
He scored 98 goals in the Bundesliga, 69 goals in the Premier League, 17 goals in La Liga and 41 goals in the Ligue 1.
Aubameyang claimed the Marc Vivien-For award which recognises the best African player in the French Ligue 1 twice and he also clinched triple Europa League awards in the 2023-24 season - Best Player, Squad of the Season and Highest Goalscorer.
He was named Borussia Dortmund’s Player of the Season for 2014-15, Arsenal’s Player of the Season for 2019-20 and Marseille’s Player of the Season for the 2023-24 campaign.
